1. From the booking portal, go to Coupons, Edit/View Coupons and enter the coupon code and press refresh.
If no result shows up, the coupon may have already been inactive, you can untick the “Hide Inactive” box to confirm.
If no result still shows up, this means that the customer provided/entered an incorrect coupon code. You can ask them to double check and provide the correct code or verify where they got the code from if possible so we can double check.
2. If some coupon codes are generated after you click refresh, click on the correct coupon code to see the coupon setting and restrictions (Terms and Conditions). See below screenshot as an example.
A coupon code may not be working for several reasons because of the following:
The coupon code may not be working because the customer the customer may have selected a parking option that is restricted. (Below example shows that the discount code does not apply to the yellow level parking options) You can advise the customer to select qualified/applicable options.
The coupon code may not be working because it is already inactive, has expired, been disabled.
Coupon codes will not work if one or some of the customer’s date/dates fall in one of the coupon’s blackout period or School or Public holiday period.
Some customers enter the Jetstar code with the letter L at the end in the promotional code field. They must delete the L at the end for the coupon code to work. The L at the end of the code means that the customer needs to book/use the code using the referral link they saw the code from.
Note: Bookings with coupon codes must be booked online unless the phone and online options apply.
If you are unsure as to why the coupon is showing as invalid or customers are getting some errors we couldn’t easily identify, ask the customer to send an email to info@parkonking.com.au with the coupon code and a brief description of the issue that is occurring and a screenshot of the error if applicable for management to review.
